The Diary
12-14th April, 2010
Our first training break in Settle, Yorkshire, saw us do two training walks of 8 and 12 miles. These allowed us to try out some equipment, set a walking pace and get use to seeing some spectacular landforms and landscapes! Places of interest that we walked past included Catrigg Force waterfall, Victoria Cave, Attermire Scar and Malham Cove. The break proved to be a good taster for our summer adventure but made us aware of the importance of sun cream!

Well, it's been a month, and we have lots to tell you:
Firstly, thanks to everyone who came to our second film night - it was a great night, and we raised a further £100. Thanks, in particular, to Shaun (once again) for his generosity.
Secondly, we're proud to announce the acts for our gig on the 4th March: Jonny Taylor, Jesse Quin, Graeme Wylie and Mo. We can't wait to see you all there!
4th March 2010
Despite Liam being almost an hour late after Alex had sent him half way across London to pick up some flags, the Walk1000 Folk Night was a huge success! A big thank you goes to Graeme, Jesse, Jonny, Megan and Mo who all put in fantastic performances, and again to Jesse who saved our skins by being technically brilliant with the sound all night. We raised £291 on the night so thanks to all who came and showed their support!
2nd January, 2010
Our first ever event, the film night, was a roaring success! With our first £50 towards the total, we're most grateful to everyone who came. Also, thanks to Shaun and Frances, who donated a surround sound system, large screen and projector - it made the evening what it was.
If you couldn't make it don't despair: the second film night will take place on Saturday 6th Febuary.
